Galapagos Habitat

Easy access to Puerto Ayora and the Charles Darwin Station plus a private yacht for exclusive cruises
The hotel has a lovely oceanfront location a short walk from town, though with a restaurant and bar on site you can opt to stay put if you wish. The main deck is built out over the water so you can watch sea lions and marine iguanas and take in views of Academy Bay as you relax and enjoy refreshments. There are mangrove forests nearby, all part of the rich diversity of the island.

From the hotel you can walk the five minutes or so to the Charles Darwin Research Station to learn about conservation programmes and see giant tortoises at the breeding centre, explore by bike and hike to Tortuga Bay to go swimming and kayaking. Not to be missed is a cruise on Windrose, the hotel’s yacht, Windrose, to visit neighbouring islands in style and comfort. Cruises are to be booked and paid for locally.

The hotel was formerly called the Red Mangrove Hotel.
