Scalesia Lodge

Set within 16 hectares in the highlands of Isabela, Scalesia Lodge provides comfortable tented accommodation and a modern lodge with full length windows making the most of the views. From here you can explore all parts of the island, returning each evening to the comforts of the lodge.

There are 16 tents, each with a large bedroom with screened windows, modern en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower, hand basin, flush toilet, hot and cold running water and plenty of storage space. Sliding doors from the bedroom open on to a terrace. All tents are spaced apart and screened by trees and plants, so offer privacy and seclusion.

The central lodge is a striking modern building with full length windows and has three separate social areas, for relaxing, chatting and dining. There’s a wraparound veranda where you can sit and immerse yourself in nature.

You can arrange activities such kayaking, mountain biking, hiking and surfing, as well as excursions to different parts of Isabela, the largest island in the archipelago. The lodge offers guided excursions to different sites on Isabela on each day of the week that can be incorporated into your stay, and can also be combined with a stay on Santa Cruz island.
