North Seymour Island
North Seymour is a small island north of Baltra. It is flat and its cliffs are only a few metres high.
It has abundant birdlife and the waters are full of marine creatures such as sea lions, hammerhead sharks and turtles.
There’s a circular nature trail about 2kms in length leading along and then away from the coast. Following the trail you’ll have the chance to observe sea lions and marine iguanas by the coast and past the largest colony of great frigatebirds in the islands. You’re also likely to see blue-footed boobies. Land iguanas are found here, too, though rarely seen.
