Why go

What makes Rabida special

Rabida is tiny compared to its neighbours, but its deep red beach and saltwater lagoon pack in a good cross-section of Galapagos wildlife in a single easy landing, which makes it a favourite short stop on longer cruise itineraries.

01

The red sand beach

Coloured by iron in the volcanic rock, and often home to sea lions basking right where you land.

02

The saltwater lagoon

A short walk inland, sometimes visited by flamingos, with good chances of Darwin's finches, yellow warblers and Galapagos mockingbirds nearby.

03

Snorkelling

The water just offshore is a good place to see colourful reef fish and, with luck, sea lions playing around you as you swim.
